The peak cobia season runs from late March through early May.  The billfish bite begins in mid May and continues through mid-November.  June, September and October are peak months for billfish.  Except for a potential record fish or tournament winning fish, we practice tag and release on billfish.  Wahoo are available from mid May through mid November with peaks May 15 - July 15 and in October. Tuna fishing is best June - August.  Mahi-mahi are from late May through October with the biggest being caught in June.  King mackerel are caught May-November. The X-RAYted has a full compliment of tournament grade tackle, from lightweight spinning gear to 130 lb. class 2 speed reels and matched bent butt trolling rods.

Captain John Holley is one of the most successful sportfishing captains in the Gulf and has numerous marlin, cobia and king mackerel tournament wins to his credit.
